What do we know about Jeep EV so far

Introduction

 

Stellantis has recently announced a timeline for releasing battery-electric vehicles that they plan to introduce to the public. The first of those vehicles will be a fully electric Jeep in 2023. The Jeep Wrangler is expected to be second in line to be entirely battery-powered. The company intends to boost international Jeep EV, Canada sales by introducing electrified variations of all their SUVs by 2025. 

 

What Do We Know

 

Thus far, Jeep has introduced hybrids for the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe. The Jeep Wrangler has been in impressive demand since its release, so it's safe to say that Jeep is expecting very good sales for the Jeep EV once it's released in 2023. 

 

Official details of the Jeep EV, Canada have not been released. There is no model name for the SUV. The expected driving range of the EV Jeep is estimated to be 250 miles, but we've not been given more information about the vehicle's battery range or specs.

 

Trims

 

We have been told what to expect in terms of trims. There will be a Sport, Latitude, Limited, Trailhawk, and a High Altitude. Pricing is estimated from $35,000 to $45,000.

 

When we got to see the new electric Jeep version, it very much reminded us of the smaller Jeep Compass. We are expecting that this will probably be the first EV Jeep model. The SUV also looks to be a completed model. Images of the Jeep EV, Canada did not seem incomplete. So there's a good chance that the model in the image we saw will be the one that we'll be seeing soon.

 

Technology 

 

This is also a very exciting time as it was reported that Jeep is cooperating with Electrify America to install a network to charge Jeep SUVs at off-road trails. It's an excellent initiative from Jeep to make sure that their SUVs will have an added advantage over other SUVs. It will both ultimately have an impact on sales as it will give Jeep drivers a good edge.

 

Looking Into the Future

 

Although we don't have all the information about the Jeep EV, Canada we can expect only the best from this brand. We know that Jeep will carry forward the luxury interior comfort that we've all come to know. We're also confident that Safety and driver's assistance will be of the highest quality. 

 

There's much speculation about what Jeep will call its first EV SUV. We definitely don't expect anything cheesy. Some think that the brand may reuse some of the names from the distant past. Most can picture Jeep using the Willys name to signal the beginning of a new era for Jeep with a callback to when the first Jeep 'Quad' was created in 1940 by the Willys-Overland company.
