The 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan is the first model in the range, and while it borrows features from other Chrysler SUVs including the Pacifica, it stamps its own identity onto the familiar name.

Sleek Design

Although the Grand Caravan's seven-seater size puts it close to the passenger minivan format, in design terms it's much nearer to a large three-row SUV. The body is curved rather than boxy, yet is still reassuringly hefty and has plenty of room in all three rows. And unlike many other seven-seater SUVs, there's still plenty of cargo space even when fully loaded with passengers.

Confident Performance

A three-row SUV of the Grand Caravan's stature needs plenty of pep under the hood, and the Chrysler powertrain provides all that's needed. A 3.6L V6 gas engine pumps out 287 horsepower, passing through a nine-speed automatic transmission to front-wheel drive. The generous output means the Grand Caravan is an agile and confident performer, especially considering its size, with a quoted 0-100km/h acceleration time of just under seven seconds.

Impressive Infotainment

Screens abound in the Grand Caravan. Infotainment is handled by a 7" touchscreen, with essential driving information displayed on a second 3.5" digital display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth to extend connectivity even further. The third and final screen is an optional DVD display placed above the rear seats to entertain restless passengers, folding away when not in use.
